What is Black Gold Shilajit Resin?
It is a naturally-occurring substance found in the mountains in Altai. Shilajit is a product of gradual, microbial decomposition of some plants for centuries. It is a powerful and very safe exogenous supplement widely known for its ability to improve physical strength and promote overall health. This natural resin was in use in Ayurvedic medicine as an anti-aging compound and as a rejuvenator.
It is a good source of fulvic acid and humic acid. These two compounds have piqued researchers’ interest because of their therapeutic effects.
How is Black Gold Shilajit Resin purified and extracted?
We follow the traditional Ayurvedic method of purification –raw Shilajit are washed thoroughly in water and then filtered to get rid of water-insoluble impurities. The filtrate is heated under direct sunlight to concentrate it. The creamy layer formed during heating is skimmed 3-4 times to obtain pure natural Shilajit. This process is the only one that can bring out the most bioactive components of Shilajit resin. Proper extraction is important, as well, to ensure a consistent high concentration of active ingredients.
How should Black Gold Shilajit Resin be stored?
Black Gold Shilajit requires no freezing or refrigeration, and it retains its potency for a very long time. It is already a robust and ancient substance and is the perfect solution for long-term supplementation.
Are there different types?
Yes, there are different types: the potency and purity of Shilajit resin depend upon the altitude and location it is collected from, the methods of purification used and especially, the quality of the natural Shilajit.
Only the Gold grade (highest grade) is considered to possess all the legendary properties of Shilajit resin one reads about. The most potent Shilajit is the one obtained from the apexes of the mountains in Altai, around 14000 to 15000 feet above sea level, and that is where our Shilajit resin is sourced from.
How is Black Gold Shilajit Resin made?
The extreme temperature and the pressure exerted by the mountains transform matter and plants into a rich, nutrient-dense mass of minerals that comes out of these rocks. This is known as Shilajit.
How many servings does 25 grams make?
The jar contains 250 minimum 100 mg servings. Realistically the jar will last around 3 months as most people will take anywhere from 150-300 mg daily. If you weight under 110lb, 100 mg serving will suffice, if you are over 110 lb, 150-300 will be your dose.
What is the daily dose for Black Gold Shilajit Resin?
Though the right dosage of Shilajit to be taken per day is not yet established, there is a recommended daily amount of metals that is considered safe according to US Department of Health and California Prop 65. In accordance with the stipulated amount, you should take approximately 150 milligrams of Shilajit resin per serving. However, the rules are not enforced by the FDA as many grocery foods do not follow them. In addition, veggies and fruits are exempted from these regulations since they cannot pass them. Regarding how often you should take Shilajit, we recommend taking it once or twice per day for about 4-5 days in a week.
In some cases such as internal problems or bone injury, you may take Shilajit 2 to 3 times daily and 7 days per week. Shilajit resin is traditionally used to accelerate recovery from different health issues and usually only by old people, sherpas, and yogis.

How to take Black Gold Shilajit?
Take your morning dose first thing when you wake up, on an empty stomach.
If you prefer to take another dose in the evening, do so after taking some food.
Scoop out a pea-sized amount of Pürblack. Then, dissolve it in water, coffee, tea, milk, or any other liquid of your choice.
An alternative way to take it is to simply take it straight without beverage although it takes some getting used to. Do not swallow rather, roll and wait for it to dissolve in your mouth.

Are there any contraindications?
Our product, Black Gold Shilajit, is safe. It contains small amount of phenylalanine (Phe), one the essential amino acids. Like other products containing phenylalanine, it is not suitable for people with the genetic disorder phenylketonuria (PKU). Also, don't mix Shilajit with chlorinated water because fulvic and humic acids (components of Shilajit) react with chlorine to produce a very harmful byproduct. Stay away from Shilajit powder and products processed with chlorinated water that are available in the marketplace. The exact amount is determined by the flora in and around the mountain ranges from which the resin is collected. However, fulvic acid, humic acids and other bioactive molecules are commonly found in Shilajit and their actual quantities can be determined.
